Onigiri

夜が長い冬のノルウェーではキャンドルをともす風習があるらしい。私はそんなノルウェーを想像して、食べるとほっこりとあたたかい、おにぎり型のキャンドルホルダーを制作した。もし、海外の美術館のミュージアムショップで作品を売ることになったら？という課題での作品。

"If you were asked to sell a work of art in a museum shop in a foreign museum, what will you create?" This was the theme of the project. I chose to create a work match a Norwegian museum. I heard that in Norway, in which people spend long nights in winter, lighting candles are popular. I suggested a candle holder in the form of a Japanese home-style dish called Onigiri, a rice ball.
